NTNU Social Issue Action Grant Program

▶️ Eligibility and Requirements
1.Applicants must becurrent undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral students at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU).
2.Applications may be submitted individually or as a team.Team members may include NTNU faculty, staff, or students from universities within the National Taiwan University System,provided that at least 50% of the team members are currently enrolled NTNU students.
3.Each individual may serve as the principal applicantfor only one projectper semester.
4.Applicants selected in the first-round review must participate in a risk management training session organized by the NTNU Holistic Education Center.

Required documents: 1.Application Form – NTNU Social Issue Action Grant Program Application
Project Proposal (3–5 pages), including: Topic and background Objectives Service field and target group Implementation methods Risk management Division of labor and timeline Expected outcomes
Project Duration – One semester by default; may be extended to one academic year if necessary.

▶️ Proposal Topics & Guidelines
1.Applicants are encouraged to propose self-initiated topics, including (but not limited to): Environmental protection, educational support, public health, cultural preservation, community development, social welfare, sports and recreation, international service, etc.
2.Each project should include planning elements such as: Needs assessment, issue exploration, preparation, hands-on action, guided reflection, outcome sharing, and evaluation.

▶️ Grant and Award Structure
Phase 1: Application Review Incentives
1.Projects will be evaluated and awarded based on their review scores.
2.Grants range from NT$1,000 to NT$3,000 per project.
3.Selected applicants must submit a midterm progress report on time to receive the grant.

Phase 2: Outstanding Team Awards
1.Upon project completion, applicants must submit a final report by the specified deadline.
2.The top three projects and several merit awards will be selected: 1st Prize: NT$15,000 2nd Prize: NT$12,000 3rd Prize: NT$9,000 Merit Award: NT$6,000 (Awards may be withheld if no projects meet the selection criteria.)
3.Awardees must present their projects at the Final Presentation Event.

▶️ Review Committee & Process Applications will be reviewed in multiple stages by a panel consisting of 3 to 5 invited experts/scholars and 1 student representative. If no qualified proposals are submitted, awards may be withheld.
